About
Born in London, raised in Malaysia and fed a diet of American film & TV, writer Ari Abraham is one of the new breed of transmedia writers out there today. He cut his teeth writing short films from the age of 15, both winning and being showcased at numerous short film festivals.
He then went on to write and direct 3 independent films; S’kali, 5:13 and The Joshua Tapes. He also wrote and produced the award winning short film Vincent for director Mazin Power.
Ari now collaborates with long-term partner Ali Maggs of Chaos Created to create and write one of the world’s first, mobile based episodic transmedia experiences titled Timedancer. Exclusively on Windows Phone 7, it has seen Ari & Ali speak at BAFTA, get featured on BBC Click’s Webscape as well as become one of Microsoft’s showcase apps for the Windows Phone 7 platform.
Ari is currently writing the location based transmedia experience Zombies Ate My City with Ali, as well as the massive sci fi multi-platformer Hollow World with creator Yen Ooi.
He hopes to one day be able to divide his time between transmedia work in Los Angeles and London.
